| Purpose: | This 18-month project will provide support and skills training to help 45 women with intellectual disabilities to identify and address violence and abuse that they have encountered or are at risk of encountering. The women will participate in the development of resources for themselves and other women, prepare to reach out and mentor other women, prepare to initiate dialogue with the agencies that provide services to them regarding violence and abuse, and participate safely in many aspects of community life from which they have been excluded. |
