| Purpose: | A group financial education program will support women who are suvivors of domestic violence in moving towards economic self sufficiency. Topics addressed will include: power and control and money, cultural differences in relationship to money, financial safety, understanding and rebuilding credit and protecting against financial loss. Individual support will also be provided to women on an as-needed basis. Women who complete this program will have the opportunity to participate in a separate "Savings Circle" program assisting them with developing saving habits which will provide further financial stability. |
