Funded Projects

Women and Gender Equality Canada is in its second year of operating as a full federal department. It builds on the strong foundation of the former federal agency Status of Women Canada. Currently, more than 500 projects are supporting Canadians in every province and territory to prevent and address gender-based violence, as well as advance social, economic and political equality for women, girls and LGBTQ2 individuals in Canada.

Women and Gender Equality Canada’s programs provide funding to eligible organizations to support actions that advance equality for people of all genders, including women.

The following projects and those listed on the Open Government Portal were selected through calls for proposals on specific themes, as well as through a continuous intake process that allows our funding programs to receive applications on an ongoing basis.

Access information about the most recent funded projects through the proactive disclosure of grants and contributions on the Open Government Portal.
