Purpose: This 24-month project will increase the economic security of women living in Guelph and Wellington County, Ontario. It will focus on improving services within the community to assist women business owners or women interested in becoming entrepreneurs. Community activities will be held to engage employers and local businesses to gather information on the barriers and opportunities for women in the region. Key stakeholders including women, the Guelph Chamber of Commerce and the University of Guelph, work to together to identify community-specific solutions. Partners and local businesses will implement concrete strategies and share results with other regional innovation centres and stakeholders across Ontario.
