Purpose: This 24 month project will build collaboration between community based organizations and service providers in rural and northern communities in Manitoba to identify promising practices and coordinate implementation efforts. The project will work with community service providers and stakeholders who have contact with victims of sexual violence to collaboratively develop coordinated service responses. The organization will build on the community efforts by establishing a provincial network of sexual assault service providers to facilitate ongoing networking, collaboration, and coordination of services. The project will also establish a western collaboration with organizations from British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan to share knowledge on gaps and best practices to improve responses to sexual assault across western Canada.
