Purpose: This 24 month project will build partnerships between stakeholders and Aboriginal women in the rural and urban communities of Stephenville, St. George's, Kippens, and Port au Port East and West in Newfoundland and Labrador to address the specific financial preparedness needs of Aboriginal women. The project will work with stakeholders to improve current programs and services so that they are responsive to the needs of Aboriginal women in the community. Local Aboriginal women will be involved in determining a suitable model for implementation that is culturally relevant to their community.
