Purpose: This 36-month project will increase access to services and supports for victims of human trafficking in Edmonton. The project will work to strengthen partnerships and create inter-agency collaboration in responding to cases of human trafficking. Response protocols will be developed and implemented to enhance services for women and girls who are victims of trafficking. In addition, strategies to engage marginalized groups, including Aboriginal women, ethno-cultural communities, and youth will be piloted to ensure those at-risk of being trafficked are able to access services and supports.
